Vigilance of NHMP officers prevent train accident

RAWALPINDI: The alert duty and quick response of National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) officers succeeded to prevent train accident on Thursday.
According to details, a Mazda truck bearing registration No. JY-9132 turned over railway track due to slippery road near Mandra. On receipt of information, NHMP Officers IP/SPO Raja Ishrat Mukhtar and IP/SPO Shakeel Ahmed immediately reached at the spot.
The NHMP Officers took immediate measure by contacting Railway Authorities, Station Manager Jawad Imtiaz and requested him to stop the trains coming on this track. The Railway Police was also called and the message was also conveyed to Base-5 Mandra.
On receipt of this information, the Chief Patrol Officer and Admin Officer Beat-05 also reached the spot. Meanwhile, Tezgam Express going to Karachi from Rawalpindi was stopped safely due to in time action and information by NHMP Officers. NHMP Officers immediately arranged crane and removed the Mazda truck from the railway track.
Sense of responsibility of NHMP Officers and their quick response prevented from a certain accident and saved precious lives and property of the people. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, NHMP N-5 North, Mr. Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan applauded the performance and sense of responsibility of NHMP officers and awarded them Commendation Certificates and Cash Reward. The DIG N-5 North reiterated that NHMP Officers will continue to serve the Nation with same spirit and enthusiasm.
