ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khanhas issued a series of directives aimed at curbing smog and environmental pollution.
Islamabad Capital Police has enforced a strict prohibition on the entry of smoke-emitting vehicles, be they privately owned, government-operated, or commercial, into the capital city.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan emphasized that these measures have been put in place to safeguard the city against the perils of environmental degradation and winter smog.
The Islamabad Capital Police has reaffirmed that no vehicle emitting smoke will be allowed entry within Islamabad. Legal actions are already underway against vehicles violating these directives.
Citizens are also urged to assist in reducing environmental pollution by cooperating with the Islamabad Capital Police. In case of any emergencies, citizens can report via the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline or the Islamabad Capital Police’s official “15” app.
