LONDON: Pakistan High Commission in London arranged an event on inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor and promotion of tourism in Pakistan. Governor Gilgit-Baltistan, key figures of Sikh community and other communities living in Britain were also present on the occasion.
International bloggers, who visited Pakistan recently, were also present on the occasion. They were of the view that Pakistan is a peaceful country and its people are very hospitable.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistani High Commissioner Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan is the centre of different civilizations and cultures.
He said that Sikh community will be able to visit their religious places freely with the opening of Kartarpur Corridor. He was of the view that this will also increase the opportunities of foreign investment in Pakistan.
The Sikh community appreciated the Government of Pakistan s initiatives and commitment to the opening of Kartarpur Corridor. Sikh community in UK welcomed the decision of opening Kartarpur Corridor and also thanked the government of Pakistan.
