Olympian Hanif Khan opposes idea of closure of departments in Hockey

Lahore: Former Olympian Hanif Khan has opposed the idea of the closure of departments in Hockey as the player doesn’t get the amount of money from the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) as compared to a cricketer in the country.
“Departments in Hockey cannot be closed because it is not a professional game. Cricket is totally professional as if a player plays from a club, he earns,” Hanif said.
“From where Hockey player will earn. PHF can’t give the complete money so departments can’t be finished,” he added.
