Notorious Gang of dacoits busted

-Six snatched mobile phones, weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency; CIA of Capital Cops arrested four of a notorious gang named Kashi, involved in dacoities as well as street crime, while recovering six snatched mobile phones, motorbikes and weapons from their possession.
According to details, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed directed all zonal officers to ensure crackdown against criminals including those involved in incidents of dacoity and street crime and to accelerate their efforts for curbing crime in the city. Thus, following these directions, SP Investigation Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including ASI Jaffar Ali and Asim Ali Zahidi along with other officials, which successfully arrested four members of notorious Kashi gang, involved in snatching valuables at gunpoint.
They accused were later identified as Qasim Alias Kashi, resident of Khyban Sir Syed Rawalpindi, Umer Raiz s/o Raiz, Muhammad Haseeb s/o Abdul Majeed and Waleed Alias Cheeko resident of Islam Pura, Pirwadhi Rawalpindi. The police team also recovered 6 snatched cell phones, motorbikes used in crime and two Pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused have confessed of their involvement in incidents of looting people at various areas of Islamabad. Separate cases have been registered against the accused at PS Sabzi Mandi while further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the overall performance of the cops while directing all cop officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
