Not scared of 'favoured one’s' tactics, will face them in courts: Zardari

LARKANA: Former president Asif Ali Zardari said that his party and its leadership are not scared of the tactics being applied by a “Ladla (the favoured one)” and they will face them in the courts.

The former president was addressing the 11th death anniversary of the assassinated former prime minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader Benazir Bhutto.

The PPP co-chairman said that he faced the opponent’s tactics earlier too and will not back down from facing them again.

“They have started to sound like a broken record… Apart from uttering gibberish on Television, they don’t know what to do,” he remarked.

He said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is his and Benazir Bhutto’s son and no one can scare him.

“We are all Bhuttos and we are ready to fight them on every front including the courts,” said the former president.

“Those who know how to work know that 100 days are more than enough,” said Zardari, adding that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government got ample time to deliver through governance.

The PPP co-chairman, while heavily criticising the government, said that the PTI-led government thoroughly lacks competence and fresh perspective to govern.

‘Investigate benami PM too’

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that if the institutions are investigating the benami accounts then they should also investigate ‘the benami prime minister’.

The PPP chairman was addressing the gathering held in Garhi Khuda Bukhsh to remember the 11th death anniversary.

He said in his life he counts Jiyalas (PPP workers) as his biggest asset. Bilawal said that on this fateful day, his mother was taken away from him.

The PPP chairman, while criticising the government, said that the government does not realise how weak the centre is.

“I will fight you, I will fight your arrogance,” said Bilawal.

The PPP has organised a central congregation in her hometown Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana district of Sindh.

Benazir took oath as the first female prime minister of Pakistan on December 2, 1988. She was also the first woman to lead a Muslim state and twice served as the prime minister of Pakistan.

The former premier was assassinated in a gun and bomb attack in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.
