Man held for spreading terror on TikTok

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops have arrested a man for shooting videos with arms and ammunition and posting them on the highly popular video-sharing platform TikTok, thus spreading an air of terror among the masses through exhibition of arms and ammunition.
According to the DIG Operations Islamabad, PS Aabpara made the arrest of a man who had been involved in spreading terror among the masses through exhibition of arms and ammunition on TikTok. The arrested man namely Asad Mehmood is a resident of the federal capital’s G-7 sector. He had created a TikTok group under the name of ‘313’ where he used to exhibit different kinds of weapons and ammunition through various videos.
The man was caught on the basis of his online ID and the arrest was made on the directives of SP City Zone Omar Khan, by PS Aabpara SHO. A case has been registered against the acused while further probe is underway.
On Sunday, a 17-year-old boy had accidentally shot himself dead while making a TikTok video in Karachi’s Sikandar Goth area. Tanveer had been making a video in his room when the incident took place. The victim’s body was later shifted to a hospital for legal formalities. Cops launched an investigation into the matter.
