Jeenbekov plans raise in medics salaries

Bishkek: Today, Aug. 4 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov inspected a major reconstruction of the infectious diseases department of the Issyk-Kul Territorial Regional Hospital in Cholpon-Ata town.
The head of state noted that the terms of operation of hospitals are approaching completion, construction and reconstruction of hospital buildings will be accelerated, his press service reported.No major reconstruction has been carried out in the infectious diseases department of this hospital since its construction – since 1986. With the capital repair it will be possible to increase the capacity of the department up to 100 beds.
Jeenbekov talked to the medical personnel and discussed in detail not only current issues amid fight against coronavirus infection, but also problems of the healthcare system.
The medical workers supported the state’s initiative to build hospitals, but at the same time noted the problem of the shortage of personnel, stressing that it is impossible to retain young personnel in the healthcare system without the material and moral support of the doctors.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov agreed with the opinion on the personnel problem and praised the work of ordinary physicians, adding that the situation with the coronavirus infection had clearly shown all the sick points of the healthcare system.
He once again noted the total digitalization of all spheres of the country is underway, which will help legitimize funds from the shadow economy.
The President also added that these funds will be primarily used to raise salaries of medical workers and teachers.
He assured that as soon as the situation with the coronavirus infection stabilizes, issues related to the health care system will be discussed at the meeting of the Security Council to take concrete decisions to improve the situation.
Issyk-Kul Oblast Governor Balbak Tulobayev noted the epidemiological situation in the region is normalizing, the number of detected cases of coronavirus infection is decreasing.
“To date, medical equipment and medicines are available in sufficient quantities, the Ministry of Health has sent doctors to assist. The Government provides comprehensive assistance in addressing current issues, and volunteers and patrons also help us,” the governor said.Moreover, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov continues his working trips to the regions of the country, his press service reported.
As part of his trip, Jeenbekov visited the village of Ak-Bulak in Ak-Suu region, where a water supply system is being built, and in October this year more than 2,000 residents will have access to clean drinking water.
The Kyrgyz leader also familiarized with the activities of the Zarya seed agricultural cooperative in Ak-Suu region.
The Zarya agricultural cooperative grows improved varieties of wheat and barley seeds and provides Issyk-Kul Oblast with them, while applying new irrigation technologies.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov thanked Head of Zarya, Ivan Chernysh, for his creative work and job creation in rural areas.
At the same time, the Kyrgyz leader toured the fruit garden in the village of Ornok, Issyk-Kul region, where the technology of drip irrigation for the cultivation of fruit crops was introduced on loans from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
Jeenbekov assured that in the framework of the state policy of regional development, the volume of privileged loans to support local entrepreneurs and rural producers will increase every year.
