Firm warning to India

PAKISTAN has given stern warning to India that of “full spectrum” response if it embarks upon any misadventure in Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. General elections will be held in Gilgat Baltistan on November 15. In response to the provocative statements made by the Indian political and military leadership, Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry warned them that Pakistan’s action will speak louder than words, if India commits any misadventure. They were reminded of the defence limitations of their country that were exposed in Balakot air strike last year and standoff with China in Ladakh.
The war hysteric BJP leadership boasts of two fronts defence capability, the myth of which exploded in face off with China on June 15. India lost Galwam valley in that military debacle. The defence policy of Indian leadership is Pakistan specific. The constant escalation of tension along the line of control and targeting military installations thereon in addition to civilian population in Azad Kashmir amply explains it.
The downing of Indian fighter jet by aircrafts of Pakistan Air force in February last year served a humiliating lesson to them.
In the past Gigat Baltistan has witnessed incidents of terrorism. The possibility of India’s sponsored terrorist activities cannot be ruled out during pre-polls days and on the polling day. It merits mention here that National Counterterrorism Authority (NACTA) has issued threat alert for Peshawar and Quetta. Khyber Pukhtunkhwa has common boundary with Gilgat Baltistan. It necessitates fool proof security arranges there.
