FCCI seeks to boost exports

From Menahill Raseed

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) will send maximum trade delegations to different potential markets with a focused approach to enhance Pakistani exports, said Engineer Asim Munir, Chairman FCCI Standing Committee on UK, EU and South America.
He said that corona has played havoc with the global economies but vulnerable economies were almost pushed to the verge of collapse. He said that shutdowns coupled with closure of airline services forced exporters to curtail their business activities.
He pointed out that due to this extraordinary situation, FCCI could not arrange trade delegations to explore new markets or enhance their trade volume for the existing markets. He further said adding that, we are working to organize trade delegations for Spain, Sweden and South America in December this year while in February next year trade delegations would be organized for Mexico, Brazil and Colombia.
He said that we will work in an organized manner and before their departure the ambassadors of the concerned countries would be contacted and requested to facilitate the delegations to make these tours productive and result oriented.
Vice Chairman Fahad Sajjad, Mian Tanveer Ahmed, Haji Mohammad Idrees, Khurram Shehzad, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Zahid and Javed Akhtar were also present during this meeting.
