Karachi: As the whole nation is celebrating Defence and Martyrs Day with national patriotism and enthusiasm today, Pakistani cricketers also join in remembering the day to pay tribute to martyrs of the 1965 war.
Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, current women’s team captain Bismah Maroof, and many others posted messages on social media handles.

It was on this day in 1965 when the Indian forces tried to cross the international border in the darkness of night to attack Pakistan but the nation foiled nefarious designs of the enemy.
