Cops donate 250 blood bottles to Thalassemia patients

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Thursday donated 250 blood bottles to Thalassemia patients, to overcome the shortage of blood as the flow of blood donations has declined due to lockdown against coronavirus.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar formally handed over the blood bottles to Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society; Abrar-ul-Haq. He also visited the Blood Donation Camp.
Chairman PRCS thanked the personnel of Capital Cops for donating blood in the noble cause.
He said that such co-operation would continue while urging the masses to come forward for donating blood as the Capital Cops had set a precedent for them.
IGP Islamabad said that thalassemia patients were facing shortage of blood due to lockdown in the country against coronavirus and it was, in fact, an honour for the force to participate in such life-saving activities.
He said that Capital Cops would continue participation in such activities and would stand with the people in this critical hour.
