KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government must stop treating Sindh like a stepchild, said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, further asking Prime Minister Imran Khan to play his role in handling all provinces equally.
Shah said the above on Sunday to local journalists while visiting Kandhkot, adding that no one would be allowed to divide Sindh.
Shah claimed that both the PTI and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leaders wee conspiring against the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government, and requested they stop these so-called dirty politics when most parts of Sindh were facing terrible floods.
Replying to question about Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed’s recent statements, he refused to comment on someone “who always beats around the bush”. This statement in question where regarding Rasheed’s claims that opposition party leaders had met with the army chiefs privately.
Regarding the schools, Shah said it was mandatory for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be followed, and that schools would reopen from 28 September.
The threat of the deadly virus is still very much here, he warned.
