Association teams take part in fitness tests ahead of National T20 Cup

Bureau Report

Lahore: The fitness tests of the association teams participating in the National T20 Cup continue at their respective association headquarters.
Yoyo test, sprint, and burpees are the three types of tests to access players’ fitness. The fitness tests will end today and the COVID-19 testing will start tomorrow under the coronavirus protocols.
All players and coaches will have to undergo the first COVID-19 test individually in their respective areas. If the first Test is negative, the players will join their team’s camp on the scheduled dates.
Before going into the bio-bubble, there will be a second COVID-19 test of all the players and staff under the supervision of the board. If the second test is negative, the players will be eligible to go into the bio-bubble.
According to sources, players and coaches have to pay the fees of the first COVID-19 individually. PCB did not inform about the specific laboratory and fee payment procedure for the tests.
Players and officials have been asked to send the test reports to the administration. Due to unclear message from the board, players are worried whether they will pay the test fee or the board.
It must be noted that the tournament is scheduled to start from September 30 in Multan and Rawapindi.
