AIOU launches academic programme

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has launched an academic program of MSc-level to promote administrative sciences. According to Faculty of Social Sciences, the program has been offered for semester, spring 2020. Last date for enrollment in this specialized program is June 5. Interested people are encouraged to apply for the admission through Online.
The program has been designed according to the market needs and demands of the relevant stake-holders. It aimed at developing administrative skills and a mature sense of leadership, a high level of personal and professional ethics and an understanding and comprehension of major elements of the social and political environment.
The admission entry requirement in this program is at least 2nd Division (45% marks) in bachelor 14 years of education or equivalent degree from any HEC recognized university/institution. The program has been being offered through tutorial system of AIOU under
Distance Learning Mode. There will be 14 tutorials (non-mandatory) and compulsory workshops per course each semester as per AIOU rules and regulations.
The relevant department will arrange online classes with blended mode as and where required. Meanwhile, University has also offered Master-level program in Public Administration (MPA). According to the Department of Management Sciences, it has been designed to prepare the individuals who intend to serve as managers in the executive arm of local, provincial, federal governments, non-governmental, and nonprofit organizations etc.
It mainly focuses on the roles, development and principles of public administration. It also gives insight to public policy management and its implementation. The program is an interdisciplinary study program drawing from fields such as anthropology, economics, law, political science, sociology and regional planning in order to equip MPA graduates with relevant skills and knowledge.
