428 cases of Rape registered against Indian Army in Indian occupied Kashmir

In Indian occupied Kashmir, the puppet administration has revealed that the Indian government not granted sanction to prosecute army or paramilitary personnel in a single case of human rights violations during the past 28 years. According to Kashmir media service, the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, in a written reply submitted to the so-called Kashmir Assembly disclosed that 482 such cases of custodial killings, rape, molestation, etc. were registered by police against the army and paramilitary personnel from 1990 to January 2018.

The reply said that 33 cases were sent to India’s Defence and Home Ministries for sanctioning the prosecution of the involved army and paramilitary personnel during the period but no sanction was granted in a single case till date.
It is to mention here that Indian troops and paramilitary personnel are enjoying impunity for their brutal actions in occupied Kashmir under the draconian law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and the puppet administration cannot take any punitive action against the erring soldiers without prior sanction from New Delhi.
